Solar Energy
81 MWp of installed solar capacity generating 128 GWh of renewable electricity annually across OPF-GSEZ.
The primary generation source for OPF-GSEZ
Solar power is the primary generation source for OPF-GSEZ, Pakistan's first Green Special Economic Zone. Panels are deployed across rooftops and dedicated carport structures, utilising an estimated 93% of available roof space across the 3,800 Kanal estate.

From sunlight to the estate microgrid
Solar panels capture sunlight and convert it into electricity, feeding directly into the estate's private 33 kV microgrid. Power is distributed through three 33/20 kV substations to occupiers across Block A and Block B, with surplus generation routed to the estate's Battery Energy Storage System.

Why solar anchors the zone's energy offer
Delivers uninterrupted subsidised renewable energy central to the zone's investment offer.
Powers manufacturing occupiers operating 24/7 across 50% of built space.
Lowers occupier energy costs and improves tenant ROI.
Supports ISO 14001 and LEED compliance targets for the zone.
Forms the base layer of the estate's integrated energy system, working together with BESS and HVO backup generation.
Clean energy across every square foot
Solar generation supplies the estate's full spectrum of occupiers and infrastructure.
Manufacturing Facilities
Power 24/7 industrial operations across the estate's largest energy consumers.
Logistics & Warehousing
Supply warehousing and distribution space with reliable clean power.
Commercial Units
Serve offices and small business space across the zone.
Solar Carports
Generate power across covered parking spaces estate-wide.
