Each layer plays a distinct role, engineered to reinforce the others.
Every layer working in sequence
Solar panels generate the estate's primary electricity supply, with surplus power stored in the Battery Energy Storage System for use beyond daylight hours. Ground source heat reduces electrical demand for heating and cooling, easing pressure on the solar and BESS supply. HVO backup generation activates only when combined renewable output falls short, keeping the entire estate on continuous power through a single 33 kV microgrid and three distribution substations.
